EX3700 2.4 Ghz no internet

I have two EX3700 extenders. Both are configured to use the 2.4 and 5 ghz networks from my router. Only the 5ghz has internet access. The router does not show a 2.4 ghz connection. I have an IP address on both frequencies but only the 5ghz allows internet access. I have gone through setup multiple times, reset to factory, updated firmware, etc. but so far nothing seems to be working to get the 2.4 online. The extender says it is connected even though I cannot use it on that frequency. Any thoughts or suggestions? The virtual MAC address for 2.4 and 5 ghz are different but the IP addresses are the same on both. They are provided by the router. On the main status page, when I initially set up the extender it will show "Connected" for the 2.4 ghz network but eventually flips back to Disconnected (this is repeatable and reliable). It does this on both extenders. One of the extenders is only a few feet away from the router while the other is across the house so distance does not appear to be a factor at all.

  • I'm having the exact same issue with the exact same piece of hardware that I just received today.  I'm near the point of just returning it as it's not worth my time at all.
