EX6100 & EX6150v2 Ethernet Port Issue

Hello,

I'm trying to find an answer to what is going on with my extenders' Ethernet (RJ45) Ports. The Ethernet port on both extenders, have an Amber and Green LED on them. And up until around 24-hours ago, when connecting a device to the Ethernet port, if it was NOT transmitting any data, the LED would be a SOLID Green. When transmitting data, the Green LED would be FLASHING. Plain and simple.

Now, on the EX6100, when plugging in a network cable that is connected to an external device, the Green LED will FLASH for less than 1 second. Then, the Amber LED will illuminate and become SOLID. If there is any data transmission, there is no indication on the Ethernet port.

On the EX6150v2, when plugging in a network cable that is connected to an external device, both the Green & Amber LEDs on the Ethernet port, will be FLASHING, constantly. I'm not sure if there is data transmission 100% of the time, but something's not right here.

I tested network connectivity of both the EX6100 & EX6150v2, using a name brand's tiny portable networks tester. Through the Ethernet port on the EX6100, a device can connect to the network and Internet. The speed seems slower than when the Ethernet port had the Green LED, so I will need to test the speed. The EX6150v2, can no longer connect a device to the network, using the Ethernet port, via DHCP. And can no longer ping or connect to a specific website at least 3 consecutive times or more.

What do the LEDs on the RJ45/Ethernet port indicate? This information is NOT available in the Quick Start Guides, User Manuals, or FAQs for either products.

Thank you

Have you tried to factory reset the units and do the setup again?

Yes, I've tried factory reset multiple times.

    --------------

I've recently seen that the devices appear not to recognize a TiVO when it is connected to them. It took a bit to learn this because when the EX6100 & EX6150v2 connected to the network, when spoofing the MAC Addresses the IP addresses changed to 0.0.0.0. Once I created a static IP for the primary MAC, on the router, I was able to login and see that neither device recognized the wired connected device. However, the connected TiVO still transmits data through both EX6100 & EX6150v2.

It seems like the Amber LED, on the Ethernet port, may be an indicator that the Netgear device does not recognize the connected wired device.
