It could be because of the way your computer devices have prioritized the WiFi networks in the network manager.

How is your laptop WiFi connection when placed next to the router?
Please try placing the EX6100 near the router and test the connection with your laptop.

I am having the same problem described above. I have done the hard reboot and re-connected but still do not get connected to the internet.
I cannot re-boot the router as I am at a campsite where I do not have access to the router. I have successfully connected the extender to my home router and to other campsite routers but not this one.
When I access the campsite router on my laptop it directs me to a website where I enter the username and password to access the internet. When I connect my laptop to the extender it never takes me to that web site as I "have no internet access".
SOMEBODY HELP

My experience with the EX6100 over 2 years with the original and a replacement is if the EX6100 looses power for any reason such as you move it. The unit will require factory reset and complete reconfiguration. In my case signal is strong but will not connect or states no internet, after reconfiguration of EX6100 connected ok.The same problem numerous times during course of 2 years. I have four computers none will connect after power outage. The tecnical department at netgear wasted my time and money sugesting it was interference and i should purchase a WIFI analyzer.

I do a factory reset every time I move to a new RV campsite. Usually I have no problem connecting to the router and then connecting our devices to the extender. However there seems to be an issue when connection to the internet happens AFTER a website is accessed via the campground modem.

Hi CZ,
Can you please confirm which firmware version is on the EX6100?

If you have successfully connected to other camp routers then it sounds like it is an issue with this particular router and possibly not the extender.

It was not just that campsite. I have had the same problem on at least 4 or 5 othe campsites. I am currently connected on this campsite router.
How do determine which firmware version my extender is using?

Hi CZ,
Connect to your extender's WiFi network.
Then open a web browser and go to mywifiext.net
Log in using the credentials:
user = admin
password = password
in the top-right corner, it should display "Firmware Version"
You can then go to Administration and check for firmware updates and verify it is running version 1.0.1.36
which you can also download from here:
http://support.netgear.com/product/EX6100
and manually upload it to your EX6100.

Thanks nhann,
I did not have the latest firmware version. I have now updated to the the latest version.Unfortunately it did not fix my problem. The extender will not connect to the internet at this camp site.As I may have mentioned on my last post, the extender successfully connected to the internet at the last campsite.CZ - Clinker_BugNov 10, 2015Guide
I have had the same problem numerous times this is what worked for me: Use a Cat 5 cable connect to EX6100 in location you plan to use it, reset unit and preform complete setup. donot turn off power or move unit it will connect first time and fail there after.
