EX6120 - no network connection on 5GHz
Installed and configured my.EX6120-100NAS. During config phase all was good - picked up both 5GHz and 2.4GHZ networks. But when it restarts it will only provide a network connection on the 2.4 networ...

Hello TheBogeyMan
You could try to factory reset the unit and set it up again see if the 5ghz comes back.

I could. I did. Multiple times before I posted this. The 5G never "went away". It just won't connect and get a connection.
I set up the unit while next to the router. Same deal.
I set up the unit while in the location where it needs to be placed. Same issue.
I did this at least 4 times.
As I said, during the config phase, it is able to pick up both the 5G & 2.4G networks (with a signal strength of 100% on both bands).
Unless I exclude the the 5G band it does not pick up a network when it restarts and does not assign the connected device a DCHP-assigned IP address.

Hello TheBogeyMan
Have you tried to lower the wireless channel on the 5ghz network on the main router?

Other devices (e.g. iPhone) can connect to the 5G network with no issues. They get a DHCP assigned IP address and are able to connect to the internet with no issues.
It's just the Netgear extender unit that is having issues - hence my posting of this.
I can stand right next to the Netgear unit and connect to both 2.4G & 5G with no issues (although I have no other devices that are able to connect on multiple bands simultaneously.
I have not tried explicitly lowering the channel in use.
