EX6120 not working with dfs channels
Good Morning,
I have a ex6120 WiFi extender that I am using as a WiFi bridge, not as a WiFi extender, I have disabled the WiFi capabilities. I am really pleased with the performance of it, getting close to 100 meg, close to the maximum the rj45 will support.
However, to get this to work I have to set my router to WiFi channel 40 not any of the dfs channels (100 140). This is resulted in the performance of my WiFi to go down. I don't understand how an Asus router can broadcast using channel 105 but this equipment won't. As previously mentioned I am not using the WiFi range extending capability. I understand the dfs channels could cause issues in the USA, but I am in the UK, so I am not sure why I have this issue. Could someone please assist?

what firmware version are you on?
do you have the region set properly for both router and extender?
- maffcoffAspirantI downloaded the latest firmware which I believe ends in 48.
My router is registered in the UK region. In the UK you can use the dfs channels if the router is set to automatic channel selection not manual. My router sets the WiFi channel to 104, but the ex6120 does not recognise that WiFi channel. It states that it cannot use the channel due to a radar issue. I am not sure how to check the ex6120 for its region.- plemansGuru - Experienced User

I seen in one of the firmware release notes for FCC dfs support (US dfs) and JP (japan) dfs but didn't see anything on UK.
