EX6150 Stuck on 300mbps (5ghz) ?!
Hi, I've brought the Wifi Extender 6150, and setup it as an access point trough Ethernet. I've configured both 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz at their maximum (ex 867Mbps on the 5ghz). But, I can't go furt...
The EX6150 only supports 2 spatial streams. This fact in conjunction with the fact that the mid-2012 MacBook only supports 802.11n Wi-Fi means that 300 Mbps is the maximum link speed possible. I don't know what box you have with FAI but it probably supports 3 spatial streams, which allows your Macbook to connect at 450 Mbps.

Thank you for your reply, and you are right, my FAI (means Internet Provider Box/Modem) provides 3 streams where the EX6250 provides only 2.
I'll try on my Desktop PC to see if it's better (still on a WiFi n, no ac yet).

But I think this product does not actualy fit my needs where I need to have the best bandwith on my "old" MacBook Retina stuck on N mode...
Is there any product, wifi extender, providing more than 2 streams?
I believe the EX6400, EX7000 and EX7300 extenders support 3 streams.
