EX6150v2 WiFi Extender - connected but no internet
Hi:
Purchased this recently and have had issue with connecting to the wifi ap on my cable modem. Initially ipads, phones, laptops connected OK but now I have to powecycle the extender multiple times per day and currently it is not working at all. The wifi status according to the laptop is something along the lines of "connected, no internet" even with a cable plugged into the extender. So if there is a known fix for this issue please let me know or I will simply return it and buy something of better quality. Thanks.

Hi paulfoot007,
It doesn't look like issue with extender for now. Try to upgrade firmware of extender, reset and reconfigure it and modify wireless channel on your main network if issue persist.

Thanks. Tried all that and it didn't help at all. Just resetting modem and extender every day, which is unacceptable.

Hello paulfoot007
Have you tried to re position the extender to a different location?

I have found the best way to "fix" the issue is instead of using DHCP hardcode a static ip address for all the clients, including the extender, using an address from outside the DHCP pool that is configured on the gateway, I also changed the DHCP lease time from 1 hour to 1 day on the gateway. On the gateway logs I can see many DCHP errors so there is something wrong with the way the extender is processing DHCP.
