EX6200 Can't Connect ? ? ?
What really ticks me off is...I can login into my router all-day long using its IP address, but I have never been able to login to the Extender using its IP (192.168.1.250), nor does mywifiext.net work or .com as it informs you in the directions and FAQ's. The only way I can connect to it is by connecting it directly to the LAN port on my laptop.

What is the IP address of your Router? - luckycanuckAspirantI have a similar issue where my laptop can connect easily (after retting 1/day) and my wife and sons can not connect with their laptops or have the Xbox 360 pick it up. I notice that when the Xbox tries to connect, that I lose my connectivity which was working at the time.
When I disconnect the 6200 extender, the regular WIFI works fine for everyone...but you have to move closer - defeating the purpose of the extender - storm_2003NoviceJust make sure that you have enough signal from your router where the extender is located then it should just work fine. Check the LED indicators or your Laptop's signal strength to identify if it is weak or strong.

You should be able to connect to the EX6200 using its IP address without necessarily being directly connected to the EX6200 (Via Wired or WiFi).
E.G.
Router I.P. 192.168.1.1
Router's Wifi SSID "ROUTER5G" and/or "ROUTER2G"
EX6200 I.P. 192.168.1.100
EX6200's Wifi SSID "EX62005G" and/or "EX62002G"
A PC/Laptop should be able to connected to ANY of the WIFI networks (or hard wired LAN ports) and be able to reach the EX6200 and be able to log on to it as long as the network is set up correctly and there are no restrictions.
If you can not it may be some set up configuration problem on your network.
If you make sure you are not connecting to your router via a "guest" network (as that would only give you internet access and not access to your internal network) and that your subnet is set to 255.255.255.0 and that you do not have any firewall rules blocking your internal network stopping the devices connecting.
I myself can connect to my EX6200 whilst being connected to my router's WiFi and not directly connected to the EX6200 itself (either by WiFi of LAN). I have my Router assign I.P addressed on my network via its DHCP server but have the I.P. of my EX6200 reserved in the routers configuration so it always gives the EX6200 the same I.P (but still assigned by DHCP - Not statically configured on the EX6200).
Maybe try reserving an I.P. address on the Router for your EX6200 but have the EX6200 get the I.P. address from the Router when it is turned on, that way the router will know the EX6200 is there and all devices on the network should be able to connect to it (as long as there is no other reason traffic would be blocked to the EX6200 e.g. like a firewall rule on the router or incorrect subnet mask setting)
