EX6200 Firmware Version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104 - Can't set to 40Mhz for either 2.4 or 5 Ghz Bands

Just updated to the latest firmware,V1.0.3.68_1.1.104, for the EX6200 Repeater.  I see the rado button for "20/40 Co-existence" - although it is checked as disabled, I still only get 20Mhz frequency on 2.4 Ghz.  Also, the 5 Ghz seems to only run in 20 Mhz (also).  Both bands are running in 20 Mhz only and I cannot seem to change it.....anybody know about this issue?

  • Anybody?  I am positive its running only in 20 Mhz for both bands.  I am running the extender in wireless adapter mode.  It is connected to the router via ethernet.  The (Netgear) router is also broadcasting dual bands, at max speeds, with 20/40 coexistance disabled (the radio button is not "checked" as on).  Is it possible the extender is somehow mirroring some setting on the router?

      Hi chadwick404,

Can you please provide screenshots of the settings and performance you are seeing?

Which NETGEAR router are you using with the extender?

        Hi, thanks for replying.

The insert picture tag isn't allowing me to source the screen shot - nor is pasting working...

Basically, I am running the EX6200 as a wireless access point, connected via ethernet to a Netgear WNDR3800 router.  The EX6200 extending only in the 2.4 Ghz band (the 5 Ghz band is disabled), the 20/40 coexistence radio button is NOT checked; the Channel is set to Auto, speed is set to "up to 300 Mbps".  I am shooting the signal about 150 feet, clear line of sight, using a directional antenna connected to both sma connectors (a hawking antenna HD9DP).  WPA2 AES is set on both router and extender.  Guest networks are off.  Pretty clean settings for long distance runs, as far as I know.

I've checked the signal quality at various points, and know the ethernet is sending full speed to the Ex6200 (checked via direct as well as through the EX6200 LAN).

Prior to the latest firmware update Netgear's wifi analytics and my receiver both indicated the extender was sending in the 40 Mhz width; after the latest firmware update the software and my receiver both say the EX6200 is sending in 20 Mhz.

My throughput decreased when dropped to 20 Mhz - and I cannot seem to force the unit to use 40 Mhz.  Should I go back a firmware version to regain this ability?
