EX7000 Extender Setup Options

In setting up an EX7000 extender you have an option to allow separate SSIDs or use the same SSID.  Which is the preferred and why??  If you connect to a device with an SSID-2ext name will it be able to see a device in the other end of the range connected to SSID??  If you take a device connected to SSID to the far end of the extende SSID_2ext do you have to reconnect to the network as you move out of range of SSID?   If you use the same SSID in setup do you avoid those problems??  Are you then subjected to additional as yet unknown problems due to the same SSID being used by two different devices (router/modem and extender)?

    Yes.

If you use a different network name in the extender, then you normally will need to manually switch networks in your mobile device as you move through the house.  That can be inconvenient.

In most cases there isn't any advantage in using a different network name.

I likely did not phrase my Q properly.  If Device 1 is connected to SSID and Device 2 is connected to SSID_ext2 are they on the same network.  In other words can Device 1 and Device 2 share files and communicate across the network although they are using separate SSIDs.
