ex7700 resets on restart - via switch and admin console

any guesses?

 

I am not even doing wireless. There is wire going in at the back and I am configuring it as a access point. Still the settings are wiped on reboot. Is this happening because of unavailability of Insight cloud? Please help

    Its not tied into insight. Its consumer extender. 

    Try reinstalling the firmware to it (in case thats corrupt) and then factory reset it yourself (in case something in the settings is corrupt). Try doing that and installing using the installation assistant.

      No same result.

      After firmware update added it as a wired access point. Performed a restart from the Web page. Cam up blank with default ssid netgear_ext.

      What do you think about dd wrt on such a complex hardware.

      Any advice will be appreciated.

        I don't believe that ddwrt supports extenders (or that one at least)

        You could try downgrading the firmware a version. 

        something might be bad in it (think memory). The hope is that re-writing firmware will write to a different area that isn't corrupt. If it keeps happening, you might be SOL
