Extender disconnects at specific time each day

Hi

I have

  • Hardware Version: WN3000RPv3
  • Firmware Version: V1.0.2.86

At a specific time each day, all the devices that are connected to my extender, are disconnected for almost a minute, and then they re-connect automatically.

It is worth noticing that if the same devices are connected to the main router, this does not happen.

In addition, for some devices, when they re-connect after the network interruption, they are only able to reach 10% of the normal speed of my network. If I then reset them (or reset their network interfaces), then they are (immediately) able to go at the normal speed.

Obviously, this is very annoying.

I tried to reset it several times, but it did not work.

I installed all the new updates, but they did not solve the problem.

Do you know how I can fix this?

What router is the extender connected to?

have you assigned a static ip address to the extender from the router? It sounds like the dhcp lease is expiring and renewing.

      Hi

Yes, I assigned a static IP address to the extender.

And, yes, the lease time is exactly 12 hours.

I changed it to a longer period, so this should solve the problem.

However, it is not clear to me why the extender had such a weird behaviour.

Before I had another extender (of a different brand) and this never happened.

Is something related to specific settings of this extender?

      Thank you for your help

it could just be that that device was originally made in 2013.

Again, not sure what router you have but if it doesn't automatically renew/update the dhcp issue and the extender is a older device, it could just need the static address to ensure the connection.

        Just throwing ideas out there.
