Extender WiFi Network Name & Password Issues

Hi there!  New to the community...  :)

I am trying to set up my EX 6100 Extender and having the hardest time.  I followed the instruction manual directions to "Connect with WPS", and got to Step 4, where the Extender Wireless Name changed to my WiFi network name with _2GEXT and _5GEXT after it.  However, it's showing the original WiFi network name (basically the Model number of the router), instead of my personalized network name that I had changed it to "Sexy Classy". 

I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm wondering if there's an issue because when I try to access the Extender Wireless network, my original WiFi network password is not working, and Step 5 in the instruction manual says the passwords would be the same.

Has anyone else experienced this?   Would love any help!
