Fastlane Technology

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to set my new extender to use the Fastlane Technology Device-to-extender in 2.4GHz only and extender-to-router in 5GHz only (Router must support 5GHz band), but when I choose that option and click apply, I get disconnected from the extender's network and then when I go back into Operating Mode settings, it is set back to Internet Surfing instead of the Fastlane Technology setting I just applied. My main router is a Buffalo Airstation 1300. Any help would be appreciated. I am also wondering how to get better link speeds between the extender and router. Right now, the 2.4GHz band is connected at 270Mbps, but the 5GHz is connected at 263Mbps.

  • what you can do is you can reset the extender completely for two minutes and power cycle it for another two minutes. Then connect to Netgear_Ext and then you can log into www.mywifiext.net and then try the settings once again. Make sure that your WIFI devices are connected to 2.4GHZ default extender network name...
