Firmware update on a WN1000RT

I use a WN1000RP to extend the range of a hotspot network provided by a closeby neighbor, which uses a captive portal approach.

After upgrading to the latest firmware release (1.0.0.52) that became impossible, I enter an endless configuration process.

I tried with another type of network, using WPA-PSK, and suceeded. But cannot use an open one with a captive portal.

Is it possible to have a previous firmware release to be back on business?

And after having it is it possible to flash it, removing the newer one?

Or could NETGEAR provide a firmware without this incomprehensible limitation?

    Hello Andre_Ventura

The home extenders are not meant to be used with these type of login pages you may have to look at a business extender for something like this.

That is not a proper answer. There no standard definition of home extender vs. business extender. If I had the problem in the beginning I would had return the equipment immediately; now I cannot do it anymore. So, the solution may either install a previous firmware, or to get a new one, without this limitation.
