- charmNovicego to your Genie, under advanced tab
> administration
>attached devices
>copy MAC address of your computer/devices
>go to advanced set up
>wireless setting
>click on the setup access list
>check "turn access control on"
>add the MAC address of your OWN devices
>click apply
With this you will only have your own devices connected to your wireless network. If your friends want to access your network, you can manually add their MAC addresses so they can connect. - fordemMentorIf you don't have wireless encryption configured, you need to configure it and set a strong encryption key, if you have encryption configured, then you need to change the key - of course, you'll have to enter the new key on all your connected devices, and I'll bet, that whilst doing this, you'll discover that the mystery device, is in fact, yours.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosoYou will need to use WPA2 encryption and disable WPS
MAC Filter by itself by no means of security at all. This feature is to control the devices which has access to network but if you have weak encryption someone can HACK the encryption and SPOOF the mac address - I have WPA2-PSK  and I have change the network security key once to an different name but apparently the network genie tells me an new device has enter I could disable or enable on the network map I don't see how and the unrecognizable device appears 2 times now
- I don't know what to do Charm i don't have Skype.
- fordemMentorChange the encryption key, and add your devices one at a time - you'll find out what it is that way.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosoMake sure WPA2 key has upper/lower case letter and numbers.
