A wired connection is much more reliable and faster, so you should stick to using it as an AP.
I wouldn't bother trying to set up the wg602v3 as a wireless repeater. It's old, slow and uses an antiquated repeater protocol. Moreover, speeds will drop by 50% when you use a wireless repeater. On a wg602v3, which will struggle to deliver 20 Mbps on a good day as an AP, this will drop to 10 Mbps or worse as a repeater.
If you must still use a repeater, upgrade to a better one. They are commonly marketed as range extenders.
