How to setup 2 AC750 (EX3700) extenders for 5 Ghz

I'm having a difficult time setting up 2 seperate, AC750 Extenders.

Using Arris TG862G modem (from cable company)

Uses WPA2-PSK

I followed the instructions and it keeps failing for the 2nd one.

I've done numerous factory resets, removing the SSID's from laptop and cleared the browser cache.

I'm using both of the AC750 (EX3700) as extenders (not Access Point).

I want to place them in 2 different locations in the house.

I can't get both of them working at the same time. One of them is setup and working well.

The one that is working has both SSID _2GEXT and _5GEXT

What am I missing, to setup the 2nd one?

    Hello PCB511

Have you tried to disconnect the first extender when setting up the second?

I tried both doing both at the same time. (that didn't work)

I tried doing the 2nd, while 1st one was on (that didn't work)

I did the 2nd one, with the 1st one off and using the same SSID (that didn't work)

I did the 2nd one, with the 1st one off and created a new SSID (that worked)

However, now I have 2 additional SSID (for a total of 4 SSID)

      Extender1 - name1_2GEXT and _5GEXT

      Extender2 - name2_2GEXT and _5GEXT

name1_2GEXT and name2_2GEXT use the same channels

name1_5GEXT and name2_5GEXT use the same channels

Is there a way to get both extenders to use the same name?

        Hello PCB511

You can have them both named the same but it is not recommend as it could cause issues.
