Losing connection with XfinityWIFI

First off there are multiple xfinitywifi hotspots in my area. When I loose a couple packets to the primary router I suspect it connects to a different one. This normally would be great, but the 5x other xfinitywifi's are no good because the singal is poor. Is there a way for the extender to ignore other routers with the same SSID? I am a Xfinity "Performance Internet" subscriber, and no the router I am connecting to is not mine, renaming is not possible.

    Hello veins

     

    Have you tried to connect the extender using WPS to the router it could fix the issue with it jumping networks with the same name.

      I'd love to try, but I have no direct access to these access points physically. I just have a shared login between them.
