Netgear EX6100 Extender won’t connect to wifi with iPhone
Xfinity modem/router doesn’t have a WPS button. Tried to choose the Netgear wifi network on the iPhone, it keeps spinning. Tried the mywifiext and variations. Never got the set up assistant. Got a page that noted it wasn’t connected to the range extender’s wifi network. (See att.)

Did you try to set it up using the push button WPS option?
If so, factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

The modem/router doesn’t have a WPS button so I don’t know what pushing the button on the extender would do. …And it did nothing. Just tried it. Also did the factory reset earlier. Can’t get to the assistant page online.

If you hit the wps, then reset it.
did you try a different device for setup? Like a pc/laptop?
What are the leds on the extender doing? (color/blinking/etc)
