Netgear Extender won't boot
I've had my exender packed away for a few years and needed to start using it again. When I plug it in to try and follow the installation instructions the unit won't boot. The power light stays amber and never turns green. According to the manual solid amber light means that the unit is booting and should go to solid green once booted. It stays amber and never goes to green. I've left it plugged for about 24 hours and nothing happened. I've tried pushing the factory resent button, but it is not responding at all to this.
Any idea what's wrong with my extender? Is there a way to fix this?

You need to hold the reset button in for 10+ seconds then the unit should factory reset and you can do a new install of the extender.

- refindmaxxAspirantHi Darren,
So I held it for about a full minute and nothing happened. It still has the solid amber light and won't boot. Is there anything else I can try?- DarrenMSr. NETGEAR Moderator
You may need to contact support at this point if you are still under warranty.

- KelsyAspirantI'm having the exact same issues. Had it packed away as we moved somewhere smaller and didn't need it. Tried to set it up a few days and got the same situation as you. I tried again today and still nothing. I've tried to reset a bunch of times. Maybe these models no longer work? Mines a WN2000RPTv3.
