netgear universal wifi range extender wn1000rp-changed router need to change extender to new router
We changed our router. The booster still called itself my old router so I did a factory reset. I connected to netgear_ext but when I try to get to mywifiext.net it tells me that the site can't be reached. All I need to do is direct my booster to my new router but I can't get in to do that. Please advise me on what to do. Thanks so much!

Hello cleo20
You may need to type in the ip address of the extender into your web browser you can find it in the attached devices section of your router.DarrenM

Thank you so much. I am afraid that I don't understand what you are telling me to do. I don't see an ip address on my extender. Can you tell me where to look?

Hello cleo20
Typically in the Router settings if its a Netgear router there should be a page called Attached devices and it will tell you the IP address It could be called something different with other routers.
