Network Extender + Yamaha Receiver

I have a Yamaha R-N303 network steroe receiver. It is ethernet plugged into a Nighthawk Network Extender.The receiver wont connect to my network to setup. My network is not showing the Yamaha receiver or the Network Extender but my netowkr is working fine. Not sure where to go here to get receiver on network.

If you plug a laptop/pc into the extender, does it work?
Trying to determine if its an extender issue or a recieve issue

  It does not
  Also, the yamaha receiver worked on another network with no extender

    What router is the extender connected to?
    Firmware on the extender?
    Did you setup the extender using WPS?
