New Modem - cannot reconnect extender

I have a new modem (with no WPS button), and I cannot reconnect my extender.  I am not tech savvy, low on patience and high on anxiety!  Is ther an easy fix to this?  I originally connected with very little problems but now I do not even know where to start!

    There should be a button on the extender to reset it to factory settings.  Turn on the extender and press the button for 8 to 10 seconds.  Then proceed to set up the extender like you did previously.
