Nighthawk EAX80 not connecting with Nighthawk RS700s
I’m trying to add an EAX80 to my router to allow the whole house to be covered. However, I can’t add the extender via the app and only via the WPS. When I use the app I can’t see the extender and also...

Try connecting a wired PC to the back of the EAX80 and set it up using a PC and web browser. I was able to get my EAX80 to connect to my RS600 using this method. There is a setup wizard process when using a PC and web browser. Should work for you. No WPS needed.

Just to say, the extender is working via the WPS but I just have no visibility of it on the app. Was hoping it was just include all connected devices between the router and extender in one place on the app.- FURRYe38Oct 09, 2024Guru - Experienced User
Yes, I set my EAX80 up using a wired PC and web browser to get the EAX to connect to the RS. Once it was connected. Then the NH mobile app found it under Network Map and accessed the EAX there. Do you see this Network Map tile on the Nighthawk mobile app?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

It shows the RS700 as being green. Then the EAX80 as a grey box. I’m assuming this means it’s not connected. But it’s strange it sees it and shows it on the map.
