Nighthawk Model: EX7500

 Nighthawk Model: EX7500 

My computer takes a long time to see Netgear_ext SSID and when it eventually does it only gets 2 bars.  The signal is very flaky. I can sometimes get to www.mywifiext.net but it wont hold the signal and disconnects.


Any ideas ? I think the unit is faulty?

    How far away is the PC from the extender?

     

    Is this happening in both the 2.4 ghz and the 5 ghz bands?

  • I wouldnt be surprised if it is. The 7500 has alot of issues. Not sure if its craming parts into a smaller form factor but the one I got wouldnt work. If you take a look at the amazon reviews you will see that all the mesh products reviews are bundled together. This way all the products bennefit from a 5 star review even though only 1 of them actually works. Go check it out. All the negative reviews are for the EX7500. All the positive ones are for the EX8000. I replaced my 7500 with the 8000 and all the issues went away.  

    The 7500 is trash.
