Nighthawk X4 AC2200 Model EX7700

Good Afternoon. I am having a really difficult time with this. The steps are NOT good to follow. I've tried the 1st section of the quick start to no avail. And now I've tried the 2nd section of the quick start, with a little better results. BUT, will not connect to my wifi and stay connected! I've tried for day 2 now and I am ready to send this back because it is so difficult to set-up. Any help would be greatly appreciated or I'll just keep searching for a much more user friendly extender to set-up.
