Difficult to answer.
Part of the extender config, is that your original WiFi network name and it's PSK (the wireless password) is configured on the extender, and two new network names are published for each band:
For example:
• Existing WiFi network name. MyNetworkName
• New extended network names. MyNetworkName_2GEXT and MyNetworkName_5GEXTThese are the two wireless network available, with the MyNetworkName_5GEXT covering a shorter range and higher speed than the MyNetworkName_2GEXT. The wireless password (PSK) is the same you have configured on the extender for the connection to the primary router WiFi.

YHave run the Smart Setup process as shown NETGEAR AC1200 Dual Band WiF Range Extender Model EX6120 User Manual p.17 ?
The point is you wrote before having configured the extender:

Crystal ball is out of order here. Sorry, you have to explain what you have configured, if you see the new wireless names displayed on your mobile or Wi-Fi clients, ....this is why I have asked, even provided a generic named example config.
