Hello all,
I have just purchased an Orbi RBR50 with matching satellite. I decided to add to this set-up by purchasing an Orbi RBS50Y-EXT outdoor extender to increase our coverage.

Actually before I attempt to access the satellite directly by browsing to it's IP address, I should ask how do I do this?

Hello Winco - You can view the satellite's IP address by logging into the router's UI and taking a look at the satellite list for the IP address of the respective satellite.

Of course in your case it's the IP address in the attached device list.
Then enter http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx in your browser (using the real IP address instead of the xxx's). The password should match the one set on your router.

Okay. I'm reporting back. Thanks for your assistance Christian. The Orbi outside extender is still appearing as a connected device. Not as a satellite. It is showing connected to the Orbi router using exclusively the 2.4G network. 5G appears to be disabled by the hardware. Why, i'm not sure?
I not sure it is acting as the other Orbi satellite connecting directly to the router, making it a second satellite or extending the range of the Orbi first satellite and the network.
I've used Netgear wifi range extenders before and it's clear the role they are playing in the network map. Spely out extending. This Orbi set up is so clear. This isn't giving me comfort the extender is working as it should.
I have attached a screenshot of the Orbi admin network map for reference.

Hi Winco,
Please try the recommended steps posted by st_shaw. After doing so and your issue persists, please reset both the router and outdoor satellite.
