Setting Up 2nd Netgear AC1200/R6220 Router as an Extender
I need help. I purchased a second router to use as a wi-fi extender. Same Netgear model AC1200 / R6220 dual band. The reason is so I can increase the signal around concrete walls. How can I do this? I believe the 2nd router will receive the signal from the primary router then broadcast it's own. I could be wrong. Any instructions would be great! Thank you.
the r6220 doesn't support extender/repeater mode.
If you can find a way to hardwire it in (powerline, ethernet, moca adapter), then you could run it in access point mode.

My best option from your reply is to ethernet hardwire. Guess I just run from my modem to the 2nd router and use it as a 2nd access point? Sounds simple. Thank you very much for the reply
