Slow EX2700
I have two wifi range extenders - both are EX2700 and the firmware is the latest (which is v1.0.1.72). I have FTTP with BT in UK, and when I check the speed when linked to laptop via cable to the BT router I get 500 mbps download and 71 upload which is what I should be getting. However, when I connect wirelessly via the EX2700 I only get 20.8mbps download and 13.1mbps upload. I have looked at the settings on the EX2700 and can see that the 2.4Ghz is checked. I believe that limits the speed to 142 mbps. There seems to be no option to select anything else other than 2.4 Ghz, but if the max is 142 mbps, I would have thought I should get a much better result.
Do I need to buy new range extenders ? Is the EX2700 just too old to cope with modern speeds ?
All advice is most welcome as I am uncertain of what to do.
(windows 10 up to date)

Many thanks for your prompt response.
Can you suggest a suitable product ?

Try plugging your needs into the filters on the product pages:
WiFi Boosters & Extenders | Wifi Range Extenders | NETGEAR
and
Wireless Routers for Home | NETGEAR
Then check back here for reports on the things you are considering, but remember that people turn up in this community with problems, not compliments. So look at reviews on Amazon, for example.

- microchip8MasterYour extenders only have 100 Mbps LAN port so you'll never see the speeds from your BT router. Upgrade to something better.
