My Netgear WN2500RP used to work perfectly. Then I went on a trip a month ago, when I came back, the network that I created for the extender could not connect to the internet, so I re-configured it. ...
A power surge is definitely not the cause.
I disconnected the extender's power cable before I left. And while I didn't do the same for the router, the router seems completely functional.
