WG102 - Access
I am trying to connect to a Netgear WG102 to set it up.
I have reset following the instructions to turn off, power on and hold the reset button for 5+ seconds.
I have connected a PC directly to the WG102 and changed its IP to 192.168.0.210 & subnet to 255.255.255.0 as directed and tried to connect to 192.168.0.229.
This doesn't connect at all, the WG102 is not visible. I have tried different network cables and tried an IP scanner but can't find it.
I am hoping that there is something simple I am doing wrong? Or is this faulty?
I don't know if this is significant but the LAN light is flashing constantly and very fast the WLAN light flashes much less frequently (1-2 times per second).

- jmizoguchiVirtuosogoogle angry ip scanner and check the range of IP to see if destination IP is correct.
in some model I remember it was not same as manual and/or reset the unit as well too - readeringAspirantThanks for the reply.
I have used Angry IP Scanner for the full range from 192.168.0.1 > 192.168.0.255 and can't find it.
I have reset the device again but still can't find anything.
Is there anything else worth trying? - jmizoguchiVirtuosotry crossover cable
- readeringAspirantI get the same result with crossover cable (no response). Unless anyone can suggest anything else I think that it must be faulty.
- fordemMentorA rapidly flashing LAN light would suggest a connection problem of some sort - on other devices I have seen this caused by duplex setting mismatches, try changing the duplex settings on the PC and see what effect it has.
