WG602v4 No Internet With Time Warner Cable Modem
Like many other posts, was working, stopped working. Not knowing how someone else set it up way back when, I reset the WG602 to factory defaults.
Cable modem is fine. I plug in laptop via ethernet cable and I see the outside world. However, when I connect the WG602 and attempt to connect wirelessly, I am not able to get an IP. ipconfig /all reports:

- Ambit U10C018 is basic cable modem with out no NAT so installing WG602 cable modem will not going work
You need a router behind it - Uh, . . . per original post it worked fine until recently.

Probably will not work
You need gateway cable modem and not just modem or wireless router - My friend's PC had an alternate configuration for her wireless adapter that looked like that. Maybe an IP changed. But I also connected at some point with my laptop and it is set to get IP and DNS automatically. What a mess. When I am there next time I am going to see if a Linksys I have works, but I agree the best solution is a wireless modem supplied by Time Warner. Thanks for your help.

I am thinking about this some more, and I believe you are correct. Can you give me a bit more detail? I have little networking experience.

Connect to cable mode
You might able to get ip from ISP to sigle laptop
