wi fi extender frontier model no. ex6100

I have two different netgear products that I am supposelby able to use if linked by ethernet cable. My router/modem is a nighthawk 7000 cv2 and my extender is my old frontier ex6100. Any help would be appreciated if this is true would save me from buying anoather netgear extender. Thanks, stormann59

not sure why say "old frontier ex6100"? maybe it was connected to your frontier setup?

If its a netgear EX6100, it should connect to the C7000v2 (if thats what you have?) fine.

If you're hardwiring it into the c7000, it'll run in access point mode.

I would recommend factory resetting the EX6100 before setting it up.

Thanks will try reset It originally was purchased through frontier when I was using them. When activated it still shows frontier which of course is no longer supported.

I didn't know frontier sold their branded extenders.

What firmware is on it? (firmware number)
