Wifi buffering after installing WiFi Range Extender AC1200Wifi buffering after installing WiFi Range

Initially installed R6400 router. Router installed on second floor of home. Son's bedroom on first floor received poor signal on his desktop that he uses for video gaming.

Purchased and installed AC1200 Wifi extender. Since, installing the extender, watching YouTube videos, through my Samsung TV, buffer often and when playing is choppy.
I'm assuming my son's video gaming is hogging the broadband width but I'm not certain. Is there a way to monitor and limit broadband width to a specific device?

Thank You

No way to do that on the netgear devices them self you may be able to find a third party app to do this. Also you may want to adjust the wireless channel on the router.
