WiFi Range Extender
7 TopicsEX6150 WiFi range extender drops connection for a few seconds very often.
I have the latest firmware. I'm located a floor above my router and use the EX6150 so that I can get a stronger connection in my room. I've noticed that every hour or so, the connection will drop for a few seconds and then reconnect. I used to own the EX6100 and I never had this problem before. Does anyone have any idea as to what is happening here and why this is happening with the new extender but not the old one? I know that it isn't the extender itself because I also own an EX6400 and the same issue occurs. Things I've tried: - Updated to the latest firmware. - Switched Wifi channels. - Removed devices from my network. - Moved the extender to be slightly closer to my router. - Reset the extender. - Reset the router. - Replaced the ethernet cable the extender connects to my PC with. - Replaced the power strip. I'm really at a loss.1.3KViews0likes1CommentWifi buffering after installing WiFi Range Extender AC1200Wifi buffering after installing WiFi Range
Initially installed R6400 router. Router installed on second floor of home. Son's bedroom on first floor received poor signal on his desktop that he uses for video gaming. Purchased and installed AC1200 Wifi extender. Since, installing the extender, watching YouTube videos, through my Samsung TV, buffer often and when playing is choppy. I'm assuming my son's video gaming is hogging the broadband width but I'm not certain. Is there a way to monitor and limit broadband width to a specific device? Hello to all, i have a N300 WiFi Range Extender Model WN300RPv3. I installed and worked. Only if just want going in the setting of my web router, D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme, and particularly in the Wireless setting, I realized that I can not 'access anymore. If I try to enter the Wireless setting it redirects me to a web window at /welcome.htm. I try turning off the Extender, reset it and turned off, router, reset my Dlink router. Nothing changed in my Dlink router. How can have my router back? ThanksSolved4.7KViews0likes2CommentsHad the AC750 for a week and have already needed to restart router to maintain connection?
I bought this extender less than a week ago and at first it worked great. Then today suddenly my phone and computer could not access the internet. They both had full bars from the extender, and could connect to the extender, but could not access the internet. They could both access the internet directly from the router when I moved close enough, however, so I know the problem is with the extender. I unplugged the extender, then unplugged and replugged in the router and waited for it to boot up, then replugged in the extender, and everything worked fine. Unfortunatley the router is in my landlords house so I had to ask to enter his house and do this. I don't want to have to do this every five days. Please tell me: is there something else I can do to prevent this from happening again?3.6KViews0likes1CommentHelp! WN3000RP range extender no longer connects since Windows 10
Hi All, I have found other posts on this community and the Microsoft community with users struggling to understand why their extenders no longer work. I took advantage of the free Win 10 upgrade but now am very frustrated that I can no longer connect to the my range extender. I have already: ensured the latest firmware is installed, shut off anti-virus protection and completed reboots of both my Netgear wireless router and extender. I'm out of options. Others must fill this pain. It makes no sense to me that this device (Lenovo Laptop) can connect to the wireless router but not the extender with the exact same info. I've completed all the obvious trouble shooting and different combinations of logging on. I am eager to hear another idea of how to solve this without giving up and buying a new extender. Sincerely, Jonathan2.9KViews0likes4Comments
