Help! WN3000RP range extender no longer connects since Windows 10
Hi All,
I have found other posts on this community and the Microsoft community with users struggling to understand why their extenders no longer work. I took advantage of the free Win 10 upgrade but now am very frustrated that I can no longer connect to the my range extender.
I have already: ensured the latest firmware is installed, shut off anti-virus protection and completed reboots of both my Netgear wireless router and extender. I'm out of options. Others must fill this pain. It makes no sense to me that this device (Lenovo Laptop) can connect to the wireless router but not the extender with the exact same info.
I've completed all the obvious trouble shooting and different combinations of logging on. I am eager to hear another idea of how to solve this without giving up and buying a new extender.
Sincerely,
Jonathan

Hello jrjames7
SInce you upgraded to WIn 10 the settings saved for that extender could be messed up on the PC try to re name the SSID on the extender and try to connect to it see if that works.

DarrenM,
Thanks for the advice; however, I've tried this will my initial troubleshooting. I've renamed both the "base" and extender SSID. I've ensured that I have the latest firmware. I'm convinced it's a Win10 issue since I have no trouble connecting other devices to extender and this issue only developed on the one laptop now running Win10.
I've looked on the Win10 community for answers...I do not want to buy another extender. There has to be a software or configuration fix. I'm surprised others have not run into this. I see references on this community of other Netgear Wifi not working with Win10.
Regards,
Jonathan
