wifi extender will not recognize router network password

Question

My wifi extender has been set up to my router. i can see the extension wifi in my drop down.When i click on it it asks for my router network password. when i enter this it says it is the wrong password.?? I have been working on this all day , resetting , rebooting the extender but it is still the same. i checked with my router supplier and he says the router is working fine so that is not the problem. at the moment the router light is green and the power light is green. Hope someone can help.

Did you set it up via wps? if so, factory reset the extender and re-install it using the installation wizard and not wps.&nbsp;Not all router makers code wps the same.&nbsp;

Thanks ,I have tried so many ways Not sure I have the installation wizard. It says log in to Wi-Fi using the netgear_ex ? But I don't get that option in my Wi-Fi networks?

My extender was actually connected to my router I checked with my supplier but I it still asked for router password?

Don't use wps.&nbsp;
