WiFi Extender Won’t Connect to Some Apps/Sites
My Network: AX3600 Insight Managed Router (Firmware version 10.2.0.16), AX1800 Mesh Extender (Firmware version 1.0.3.36)
Issue: I recently got a new router and a range extender to help cover my whole house, but I’m running into a weird issue. When any device (phone, desktop PC, laptop, iPad) connects via the extender, it loses the ability to connect to some websites. For instance, I can connect to Facebook fine, but if I try to connect to Twitter, it fails to load. When I try to connect to those sites via the Wi-Fi from the router, everything loads perfectly.
Attempted Fixes: Factory reset of both devices, firmware update, cycling both devices and the modem, cursing.

What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
Have you tried setting the extender with a static ip address?
My modem is a Nokia Beacon (Model G-2426G-B) provided by my ISP.
I tried setting the IP address to static (please let me know if there’s a specific static address that I should try), and the problem persists.- plemansGuru - Experienced User
So that nokia is its own router as well. Do you have your insight managed router running in access point mode?
Or do you have the nokia in passthrough mode?
It could be the double nat added into using an extender causing issues.
Or does the extender work if setup with the nokia?

Was soll ich machen?

I managed to get the Wi-Fi extender to work properly with the Nokia router. However, it seems like the ISP still has some administrative control, which might require me to contact them for a mode change if that turns out to be the issue. Even though I had disabled the Nokia’s broadcast, it looks like there might be another setting affecting the connection that I hadn't considered.
I had set the Insight router to AP mode—should this be different based on how the Nokia router is configured?
Additionally, I’m having trouble connecting to Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2. Does anyone know a fix for this?

It sounds like the extender isn’t passing traffic through properly, which is why some sites or apps work while others fail. Since everything loads fine on the main router, the problem is likely with how the extender is handling DNS or routing. A quick test is to set your DNS manually on one of the devices to Google (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and see if that helps. Also, make sure the extender is strictly in extender/bridge mode and not trying to work as a second router, because that can create double NAT issues. If you’re noticing that games like Free Fire or tools such as FFH4x won’t connect properly while other apps (like Facebook) do, it’s another sign the extender is interfering with certain HTTPS traffic. In that case, a VPN test can confirm it — if the game or tool works fine through a VPN on the extender connection, the issue is definitely on the extender’s side. Since you’ve already reset and updated the firmware, it could just be a bug with this model, so checking the vendor forums for similar reports might save you some time.
