Wifi Mesh Extender AC1750 - Placement
I just purchased an extender for my home. My router is on the main floor of my home. I have a basement that I would like to access the extender for a ring camera and smart tv. Should I place the extender in the basement or on the same floor as my router.

You should try both.
Nice thing about extenders is that you can move them around pretty easily.
If you're not moving them around a little and testing how they work in each location, then you're missing out on performance. Reason why is things within the walls or other interference can degrade signals.
so yes, try them both. See how each location works. If its not working well, try a different location.
Ok will do. Thank you for the response. May I ask you another question? Is there a reason my Iphone would not automatically connect with the best wifi choice in my home? It has really stopped working well.
