Wifi range extender password issue

Hi there, we've purchased the above wifi rang extender in the hope to improve the wifi reception in our home but there's one huge issue, the device will not accept the password I personally set. For whatever reason we cannot display the mywifiext.net website on any of our computers in this household, so I had to chose to connect the extender with via WPS button which seems to be working fine until it comes to entering the actual password. I have no idea why it's not accepting my password nor how to resolve this annoying issue. Any help you can provide in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

  • Hi ninakristin,

Try the password of your existing network carefull as it is case sensitive. Check it in settings of your Router if you are not sure. Since its working via WPS, i'm sure its the bad password that you are trying.

Thanks for the suggesting the most obvious, trust me I have tried this at least 50 times over and over again. I am not using the factory password and rounter name my router came with - I have both customised to names/words that I have chosen. It picks up the customised router name for the ext which is the custom name of my chosen router name + ext but when it comes to my chosen password it does not accept it. I somehow have now managed to go into the router settings by going in via http://192.168.1.250 but when I look into the back end it says the ext has the same password as my router which clearly is not the case so I'm still stuck with the same issue which is getting rather irritating :(

        Hi ninakristin,

I would recommend you to change it as custom password, but set it manually with same security and password on extender's wireless settings. Let me know if that helped.
