WN2000RPTv2: Xbox Live Problem!
I have been stressing over this problem over the last few days and I have literally tried everything, xbox website, netgear website and nothing has helped.
OK first of all the general speed of the xbox is effected, if the range extender is on then the xbox is very slow when it comes to starting up loading anything. When it is off the speed is fine and normal.
Then when I try to login it will take 2 minuets just loading when signing in, and the I get a error saying my console cant connect to xbox live and tells me to test my connection, and when I test my connection it does connect to xbox live and then its the same problem and again when I try to login after. Its the same when I use an ethernet cable too.
Any help would be appreciated please ASAP

- mckillAspirantBeen having exactly the same problem with WN3000RP.
Firstly sorry I can't be of more help, I have tried everything.
I did hear somewhere that it may be to do with the wireless extender changing the IP address of the xbox 360 console and if you look at the IP address when your connected directly to the router, it will be different from when your connected to the extender. This didn't help me because i dont see a way to change that.
The only way to solve it for me, was to connect directly to the main router and not the extender. Which isnt really an option for me.
If anyone can offer any advice apart from 'throw away the extender', it would be greatly appreciated :) - mckillAspirantI think it is the wireless extenders MTU (Maximum Transmission Units) settings that need to be changed.
Xbox 360 requires a minimum of 1365 MTU apparently. Only problem is, i cannot find out how to change the MTU on the wn3000rp.
However these steps might work for someone else.
