I am having the same problem - i purchased the WN2500 originally to deal with poor usb performance by Win 8 (constant usb failures that microsoft new about but was reluctant to fix). the wn2500rp worked like a charm until last week when it began losing/dropping the wireless connection to the router. i have a desktop and a blu ray hardwired to the wn2500rp and i am using it as a shared remote wireless adapter. i have tried reconfiguration and resetting and nothing i only get netgear_ext and it will not connect to the network.
