Wn2500rp slower bandwith than WNR2000v4 Router

Question

I do speed test from the Wn2500rp and it is half the speed of when connecting to the main wnr2000v4 router...is this correct? or am I not setting the Repeater (WN2500rp)correctly?

Please help let me know before I try fixing something that is not possible?

I use NETGEAR GENIE on the iphone to access both networks...but obviously that genie doesn't really work on the REPEATER......or doesn't allow me to make setting changes...

I am hooking up to the Router via laptop and can see everything.

But have not hooked up to the RP unit....am I able to access that unit just like this router?

When you use a wireless extender you are going to have speed loss up to 50% you may want to adjust the wireless channel in the wifi settings of the router to try and improve the wireless speed on the extender.
