WN3000RP - so close but no cigar
I can't quite get this thing working, I get "can't connect to the internet".
Here's my setup:
Router WNDR3400
Router -> wireless -> PC
Router -> wireless -> WN3000RP -> wireless -> iPad
Via the PC I can look at the router and see the mac addy of the WN3000RP on it's connected to page.
Via the PC I can also access the WN3000RP and see the mac addy of the iPad on it's connected to page.
The iPad shows connected but can't get to the internet.
The iPad also won't connect to the WN3000RP via www.mywifiext.net.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Newbe talking,sorry.
On the status, statistics screen WLAN looks correct but LAN shows Link Down if this helps.
Done for tonight, 4:30am rise time for me.
Thanks again! - jmizoguchiVirtuosolink down with device hooked up to the WN3000RP lan ports?

I don't know the difference between WLAN and LAN.
I was talking to the extender via the router link. (Pc->router->extender)
On this latest attempt I'm unable to access the extender directly via the iPad through www.mywifiext.net although the signal shows up strong.
In previous attempts I remember I was able to link via mywifiext but not now.
Maybe another factory reset is in order and try again?
BTW I also tried installing via the wired link.
Thanks - jmizoguchiVirtuosoWLAN- WIRELESS
LAN - commonly connected with ethernet cable. - EmilGNovice

Ok, since I was linked via wireless on both sides (router->extender and extender->iPad) that's why LAN showed link down, got it!
I'll try factory reset tonight (or maybe tomorrow night) and go through it again. I'll first try the simple WPA method others have had no problems with (although I tried it before that way before). If no luck I'll do manual with a wired link to a pc.
Thanks - EmilGNoviceGot it working!!!
Seems that manually entering the IP info did it even though it was still at the same local IP. There is obviously more going on internally that we know but it works, that's all that matters.
Thanks for your patience, knowledge and time, I really appreciate it! - jmizoguchiVirtuosoAwesome.... enjoy the new device:)

Nice strong signal, great latency too. - sataponwAspirantHi sorry for bringing this thread up again.
I am having a similar issue and I can't seem to solve it.
I am going from my router -> wireless -> 3000rp -> wireless -> laptop
On a very very rare occasion (by pulling the extender from the plug and plug in back in) I would be able to access mywifiext.net for about 5 seconds.
On my laptop, it always show up as unidentified network. I am pretty much stuck.
With a few chance of getting into the extender, I managed (or I think I did) to change to static IP 10.0.0.11 subnet 255.255.255.0 Gateway/DNS 10.0.0.1 (router IP).
I tried changing my laptop IP setting to IP10.0.0.101 (tried 10.0.0.13) subnet 255.255.255.0 Gateway/DNS 10.0.0.1. I still get the same unidentified network.
I did tried with LAN connecting to my laptop, still unidentified network. I also tried this on my other laptop, still the same result.
Hope someone can help me.
Thanks,
Satapon W
