WN3000RP extender stopped working, please help
Hello,
so basically, I bought the extender 3 months ago from Best Buy, and the setup was fine and it worked great up until a week ago.
For some unknown reason, I can connect to the extender from my laptop and it says I have full bars and internet access, but when I open a browser, there's no connection.
The extender still works with my phone, just not my laptop, why would this happen? I've already tried resetting it a couple times (factory reset too), but nothing changes.
thanks,
David

Hi WhiteDelight,Can you please confirm which WN3000RP you have? v1, v2, or v3

Also, login to your extender's network by going to mywifiext.net
and check which firmware version you have.
On your laptop, try forgetting/removing your Extender's WiFi network. Then reconnect to the Extender's WiFi.
Is your laptop able to connect to the Router's network?

Hi David,
I'm having the exact same problem. It also started in just the last couple of days. I am very disappointed in Netgear's Customer Service. I bought mine in June of this year and all worked fine until recently. I reset it to factory defaults, can see it from my phone, and log into it, but my SmartTV and Ipad cannot log into it. When I can log into it, I have no internet connection. I even power cycled everything. Connecting devices to my router works fine, internet access works fine. Just no internet through the extender.
When I called in, I was told that I would have to give my credit card information to get phone support, but would only be charged if they fixed it. I asked them who does that?!?
I then proceeded to ask how to return it for warranty purposes and was told that I could not do that unless I went through the phone support first. I told them that in no way shape or form was I going to give them my credit card information, in hopes that they could fix it.
They told me to try returning it to the store I bought it from.
What kind of customer service is this??? It worked fine for 5 months, I am no idiot, I was able to get it to work when I bought it. Now it doesn't work, and I want them to honor the warranty. But they won't do that unless I give them my credit card?!?
This was a Netgear extender connecting to a Netgear router, that my cable company installed.
I have never experienced a company not honoring their own warranty in such a fashion.
I guess I chose the wrong brand.....

Hi krazy3,
You mention that you can see the network on your phone and log into it.
Can you verify which firmware version you are running? Connect to the Extender network and go to mywifiext.net
Have you factory reset your router?
