WN3000RP not able to connect to new pc but shows full strength

I just bought a new HP Stream 11 laptop that came with Windows 10. I am able to connect to our main router but not to extender even though the wifi shows full strength. It says gateway not available or address not available. My apple devices are able to connect.

 

I looked at support forums for both Windows 10 and troubleshooting connects. Also downloaded firmware and attempted to access website but did not work.

    Hi Justcherryterri,

     

    Which WN3000RP version are you using? v1, v2, v3 ?

    Is the extender updated to latest firmware?

    Are you using the same SSID on the extender as you have it on the router?
    Can you 'forget' the Extender network profile on your PC and then reconnect to the Extender?
