WN3000RP range limitations

I have a solid brick house and I want to extend the range of my WiFi from one end of the house to the other. So I bought the WN3000RP. But it doesn't seem to have enough 'punch' to get through all the intervening brick walls. Do I have to buy another more powerful WiFi range extender (and if so, what do you recommend), or is there a better solution. I have a MacBook Pro and use a Belkin F1P1243EGau router.

    Personally I would consider running an Ethernet Cable behind the wall, up through the loft, and back down to a suitable location to place the 2nd AP point. Cat 5e can support a 1Gbit LAN for a distance of up to 100m (approx 330") provided that there are no sharp bends.

    Fit a wall socket at each end to tidy it up and consider using shielded cable if there are any other electrical cables likely to interfere with it (the shielding will need to be earthed at both ends).

    Alternatively, purchase a pair of HomePlugs or PowerLine Adapters.

    In both cases you should then be able to connect the AP at the other end to the router and extend your WiFi coverage.

    It will be hard to deal with brick walls for runnin cables. I would suggest to look power line devices.

    I agree about the problems of running cables with brick walls. Too difficult for me and too expensive to have a professional do it. Maybe powerline devices is the answer, but I wanted to have portability. I guess I could plug the WiFi range extender into the other end of the powerline device (could I?), however I would prefer to just use a more powerful WiFi extender if such a thing exists and if it would have the necessary power to deliver a good signal at the other end of the house. Does anyone have any experience of this type of solution?
