wn3000rpv2 •Unable to detect router’s (SSID) during initial setup.
I have done the factory reset and still no signal for initial setup so this also prevents manual setup.

Hi fivetentoo,
Please confirm that your WN3000RPv2 is connected to a wall outlet and not an extension plug. Also confirm if this is a full factory reset to defaults.
See page 25 of 36:
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WN3000RPV2/WN3000RPv2_UM_2April2014.pdf
Then follow page 9 of 36
You can either setup the WN3000RPv2 via WPS
or via web browser.
For WPS: Press the WPS button on your router, then press the WPS button on your extender and follow the rest of the instructions.
For Web browser: Connect an ethernet cord to your computer, then connect the other end of the cord to the WN3000RPv2.
On your computer, disable any other WiFi or internet connections you may be connected to.
Then open your web browser and go to mywifiext.net or 192.168.1.250
You can try other web browsers as well.
